Hi! I’m Dr. Annie Gibson, ND.

Simply put, I’m a lover of the outdoors, an avid reader, amateur baker, and naturopathic doctor.

I’m BC born-and-raised and grew up in the beautiful Township of Langley. Inspired by the novel approach my own naturopathic doctor employed to help me resolve digestive issues that came up following travel in West Africa, I set out to help others restore their own health.

After completing my undergraduate degree in biology and psychology at Trinity Western University, I received my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC. I am thrilled to be part of the clinical team at Tall Tree Physiotherapy & Health Centre in Vancouver, BC.

My areas of clinical focus, which I particularly enjoy treating are:

I am passionate about integrating traditional naturopathic practices with modern medical knowledge, laboratory testing, and prescription medications (when needed) to provide you with the best care. I use thorough history taking, hands-on physical exams, and lab testing to arrive at an accurate diagnosis. Then I address your concerns with research-based treatments, chosen to fit your goals and lifestyle

It’s my goal to help you feel your best!

My approach to naturopathic medicine

As a naturopathic doctor, I am thoroughly trained and naturally focused. I come alongside my patients to support them in reaching their health goals using the many powerful tools naturopathic medicine offers.

I thoroughly assess each patient and choose the best treatments for each individual, prioritizing both safety and effectiveness

Part of the beauty of naturopathic medicine is its commitment to discovering and treating the root issue. Sure, it’s convenient and effective to pop a pain-relieving pill for a headache, but it’s likely your headache will return again in the near future. While the pill blocks the pain signal, it does little to address why you had the headache in the first place. Besides being uncomfortable or inconvenient, symptoms such as pain can be warning signs that something isn’t working well within the body. They motivate you (and your healthcare provider) to find and address the issue so you can get back to what you love!

I approach patient care with a combined short- and long-term approach. Ultimately, my long-term goal is to help my patients correct imbalances and deeply restore their health. Healing dysfunctional systems and introducing individualized and sustainable habits takes some time, especially when issues have been brewing for months or even years! Targeted supports such as vitamins and minerals, herbal extracts, injections or intravenous therapies, and prescription medications, can be exceptionally helpful in the short-term but shouldn’t be relied upon indefinitely. These short-term supports are individualized for each patient and promote healing of damaged tissues, reset dysfunctional inner-clocks or hormone pathways, and boost energy to give you the get-up-and-go to make lasting positive changes
